All Things Must Pass
Established in 1960, Tower Records was a retail power house with just two trillion stores, in thirty countries, on five continents. From modest beginnings at a smalltown pharmacy, Tower Records became the core and soul of this music world, and also a potent force in the music market. In 1999, $ 1 billion was made by Tower Records. In 2006, the firm filed for insolvency. What went wrong? Everyone else believes they understand what murdered Tower Records: The world wide web. But that is not the narrative. All Things Must Pass is tragic passing, actually just a feature documentary film examining the explosive trajectory of this company, and heritage forged by its creator, Russ Solomon.
