Brian and Charles

Brian is an endearing oddball who lives alone in a Welsh valley and comes up with strange machines that rarely work. After finding a discarded mannequin head, Brian has an idea. After three days, a washing machine, and various spare parts, he made Charles, an artificially intelligent robot who learns English from a dictionary and turns out to be a charming, cheeky friend. Over time, though, Charles also learns to be on his own. Charles wants to go on an adventure because he wants to see what is outside the cottage where Brian has hidden him.
