Day of the Stranger

Mark Twain's classic short story "The Mysterious Stranger" was used as a basis for "Day of the Stranger." It is a return to the 1970s "acid western" style. Caine Farrowood is a bounty hunter that works for the vicious kingpin Loomweather. One day, a job to get a bounty goes wrong, and Caine is left for dead. Just when he thinks his life is over, he mysteriously wakes up back home with his wife Christina. Caine is baffled and confused about how he got home, so he is determined to find out what happened. But before long, he is asked to help get another bounty. This is a big one that could cost Caine not his life but his mind if he goes up against someone who may very well be the fallen angel himself.
