Dead Stop

The desert can be a harsh environment. Temperatures soar past the century mark during the day, hot enough to stop a man in his tracks, and plummet low enough at night to freeze him to death. It is teeming with feral and lethal fauna. This is not a place to get lost. Regrettably, Todd and Josh, as well as their buddies, have done precisely that. The group of teens and the pair of hitchhikers they've picked up on their way to a ski trip have taken a wrong turn and are now miles from civilization. It is frequently stated that snakes, scorpions, coyotes, spiders, and everything else that lives in the desert fear humans more than humans fear them. However, in this circumstance, there is reason for these individuals to be more than fearful. In this section of the California desert, there is one wild species that is unafraid of man. A monstrously big and vicious beast that lusts for their flesh. It is robust. It is primitive. It is unrelenting. And it is ravenous.
