Henri 4

A broad, lively period piece because he moves from battlefield warrior to the beloved King Henri IV of France, tracing the rise of the Protestant Henry of Navarre. The epic of director Jo Baier is actually a adventure, albeit one with more than a little ordinary and bloodshed sexual interludes that are bawdy. In war, Protestant Huguenots and Catholics were in overdue France.
