Hot Sugar's Cold World

Nick Koenig, aka Hot Sugar, is in a mess that is hot. Considered a modernday Mozart, the electronic musician/producer recordings sounds from everyday life--from hanging receivers that are pay-phone to Hurricane Sandy rain--and then rebounds, loops and samples beats were -- nominated by them to grammy-award. He is living the life every musician dreams of, complete with an internet-phenom girl friend, rapper/singer"Kitty." But if she dumps him, Hot Sugar is set adrift. Fleeing into Paris, he tries to re group, searching for a sense of self and also new sounds. Film maker Adam Lough mixes scenes of Hot Sugar in the office on his vintage recording apparatus with surprising reflections that are soul searching he offers to the camera. As tweets and posts about the bunch blow upon the world wide web, Hot Sugar's road trip presses onward, revealing layers of this guy and his own music.
