Resting Place

Set in 1972, this is a TV movie about Rockville, Georgia, and its people in 1972. Survivor Assistance Officer Major Kendall Laird comes to this small town with the body of Vietnam War hero Lieutenant Dwyte Johnson. Help Johnson's parents bury their son: Laird's job is to do that for them. His parents are turned away by the white racists who look after the town's "all-white" cemetery because the dead hero was black, so they don't want them there.
