The Country I Come From
A young man named Eric, who lives his life without worry, travels to a sleepy town in the countryside on the evening of Christmas Eve. In this town, he meets Julien, a bar pianist who is an exact double of himself. Julien is head over heels for Marinette, a beautiful waitress, but he cannot bring himself to make any romantic gestures to her. By acting as though he were Julien, Eric makes the decision to facilitate the development of genuine affection between the two of them. In the meantime, Eric's enormously wealthy uncle has dispatched his underlings to bring him back home so that he can spend Christmas with his family. This will allow Eric to celebrate the holiday in the company of those closest to him.
