The Devil Outside

Robert Eastwood is a child of innocence, raised in a culture of Born Again Christianity that teaches him to look for signs and to think that evil lurks just outside the house door. When he returns to school, he is surprised to learn that no one else believes the earth was created in seven days or that Jesus will return. Caught between his Mother, who is committed to bring Jesus' love to a dying mining town, and his closest friend Marcus, who has introduced him to adolescent rebellion, Robert finds himself at the center of a spiritual tug of war as he attempts to escape his religious beliefs. He sees a dead body in the woods at this point and realizes God has sent him a sign. The Devil Outside is a story about the absurdity of daily life.
