The Star

The film is based on Emmanuil Kazakevich's novel of the same name. A huge tank division called "Viking" is prepared for the Nazi onslaught on captured Russian soil in 1944. The Russian Army's special "Zvezda" crew of seven snipers is sent behind enemy lines in the back of the Nazi Tank Division. Two earlier Russian groups were never heard from again. The seven Russians are well aware that they are risking their lives for the sake of victory.
