The Weapon, the Hour, the Motive
Don Giorgio, a dashing young priest who also works as a teacher in a convent, has a romantic relationship with not one but two women: Orchidea and Giulia. In spite of the fact that he professes his contrition and promises to rejoin the congregation, he is brutally put to death. Giulia has a sliced neck shortly after this event takes place. Orchidea, who is also the primary suspect, becomes the object of Inspector Boito's affection, and he makes plans to wed her. An inquisitive young child named Ferruccio, who is being held captive and drugged, appears to hold the key to solving the case. Ferruccio is being held in isolation. He saw one of the murders take place, but no one will believe his account, will they?
