Why Do Fools Fall In Love
In the mid-80s, three women (each with a lawyer ) arrive at the office of newyork entertainment director, Morris Levy. One is the L.A. singer, previously of the Platters. One really is a thief from Philly. One teaches school in a small Georgia town. Each claims to be the widow of long-dead singer-songwriter Frankie Lyman that was doo-wop, and each wants years of exemptions as a consequence of his real estate, money Levy has never contributed. Throughout an impending civil offense, flashbacks tell the story of each person's life with Lyman, a high-pitched, lively performer, lost to heroin. Slowly, their particular bond is established by the three wives.
