Another World
Another World is a American television soap opera which ran for 35 years from May 4, 1964 to June 25, 1999. Set in the fictional town of Bay City, the series in its early years opens using announcer Bill Wolff intoning its own epigram,"we don't reside in this world alone, in a thousand different worlds," that Phillips said represented that the gap between"the universe of incidents we live in, and also the environment of feelings and fantasies that we strive for." Another World focused less on the drama of domestic life as seen in soap operas, and more about exotic melodrama between groups of different classes and philosophies.
