Bette
Bette is a CBS television sitcom that debuted on October 11, 2000, and marked the television debut of artist Bette Midler in a lead role. A "one-season wonder," it ran 16 episodes on CBS before being cancelled on March 7, 2001. There were a total of eighteen episodes made, with the final two shown on HDTV simulcasting and in foreign countries. Jeffrey Lane invented Bette, and Midler was one of the executive producers.
