Captain Flamingo
Captain Flamingo is a Canadian animated television series that follows the adventures of Milo Powell, the protagonist and main character. Atomic Cartoons, Breakthrough Films & Television, The Heroic Film Company, and PASI Animation produced the television series, which premiered on YTV in Canada on February 7, 2006, and is also shown on Jetix in the United Kingdom, Nicktoons, and the ABC in Australia. The series was supposed to premiere on JETIX in the United States in 2007, but Toon Disney's new schedule had this show premiere on January 28, 2008 at 8:30AM. Captain Flamingo was removed from the Toon Disney schedule on August 12, 2008, but returned on September 2 at 5:30 a.m. Captain Flamingo was once again removed when Toon Disney was rebranded as Disney XD on February 13, 2009, and it hasn't aired in the United States since. The titular character is a child of unknown age. He possesses no notable superpowers, only a desire to assist "li'l kids" in trouble. His "superpowers" manifest themselves in the form of novelty items such as a whoopee cushion, among other things. Reruns are no longer broadcast on YTV; however, they are currently broadcast on the Canadian Nickelodeon channel.
