Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Because Edward and Alphonse Elric disregarded the fundamental laws of alchemy with such cavalier abandon, half of Edward's limbs were severed from his body, and Al's soul was left clinging to a cold suit of armor. In order to bring back what was lost, two brothers search a continent split apart by conflict for a legendary relic known as the Philosopher's Stone. This artifact is said to bestow the ability to practice alchemy in ways that are physically impossible. In their pursuit, the Elrics are not the only ones; the tainted State Military is just as anxious to get its hands on the powerful item. The bizarre Homunculi and their mysterious creator are also mysterious. The legendary jewel entices strange alchemists from faraway nations, and it scars some of them severely enough to incite murder. The Elrics may find that their path is being altered by both adversaries and allies, but their objective will not change, and their connection will not be severed.
