King Arthur's Disasters

The British cartoon series "King Arthur's Disasters" first aired on ITV1's "CITV," a now-defunct programming block. The series, which Paul Parkes and Will Ashurst co-created, follows King Arthur as he tries to woo the beautiful Princess Guinevere with the help of the wizard Merlin. The show was renewed for a second season by CITV due to its success, and the next season premiered on November 6, 2005. In both cases, Genevieve Dexter served as executive producer and director In Spring 2005, King Arthur's Disasters ranked as the most-watched new CITV show. It had a viewership share of more than 20% among children and frequently beat CBBC in its time slot. The Amazing Adrenalini Brothers won the Best Animation BAFTA for children's programming in 2006.
