Lost in Space

Lost in Space is a science fiction television series produced and created by Irwin Allen, filmed by 20th Century Fox Television, and broadcast on CBS. The series ran together with 83 episodes involving between September 15, 1965, and March 6, 1968. The remaining were filmed in color, although the television season was filmed in both white and black. Back in 1998, a movie was released. Though the original television series theory centered on the Robinson family, a lot subsequent story lines focused chiefly on Dr. Zachary Smith, played by Jonathan Harris. Originally written as an competent although evil prospective saboteur, Smith gradually becomes the egocentric, incompetent foil who causes most of the episodic conflict and misadventures and provides the comic relief to the series. Smith had not been from the un-aired pilot and neither was the robot. A meteor storm in the un-aired pilot put them off path. From the episode that was aired, Smith's sabotage and unintentional existence caused them to go off course so that they encountered the meteors. From the un-aired edition they went at a relatively slow rate that they wondered if these were on Mars, while in the first aired episode moments of hyper-drive plus these were lost, not known light years from Earth.
