SOTUS The Series

"Gear" is a mechanical component of the cogwheel system (as in a clock). An engineering student can be identified by wearing one. The SOTUS system (short for Seniority, Order, Tradition, Unity, and Spirit) is required of all incoming engineering freshmen before they can receive one. One of the third-year seniors, Arthit (Perawat Sangpotirat), frequently abuses his authority over the freshmen by forcing them to break the regulations. Students in their first year of college are essentially powerless to challenge or defy the authority of their elders. Before Kongpob (Prachaya Ruangroj) stood up to Arthit's insults, he was virtually unbeatable. Their initial hostility gradually transformed into a warm and caring relationship as their encounters became more frequent.
