The League of Gentlemen
The League of Gentlemen is a British comedy television show which premiered in 1999 on BBC 2. The show is located in Royston Vasey, a town in Northern England predicated on Bacup, Lancashire. It follows the lives of dozens of bizarre townspeople, many of whom have been played with three of those series's four writers--Mark Gatiss, Steve Pemberton, and Reece Shearsmith--that, along with Jeremy Dyson, formed the League of Gentlemen comedy troupe in 1995. The show originally aired for three string in 1999 until 2002. A revival mini series was broadcast to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the group.
