The PJs
Eddie Murphy, Larry Wilmore, and Steve Tompkins are the brains behind the creation of the stop-motion animated television series The PJs, which airs in the United States. It was a depiction of life in an urban public housing project, and it was modeled after the Brewster-Douglass housing projects in Detroit, which were previously home to celebrities such as Diana Ross and Lily Tomlin. Eddie Murphy starred in the series, which was produced by Imagine Entertainment, The Murphy Company & Will Vinton Studios, Touchstone Television, and Warner Bros. Television in cooperation with all of these companies. After a game in the playoffs for a divisional conference in football, the first episode of the first run of the series aired on Fox on Sunday, January10, 1999 at the time slot. After an interval of two days, the second episode finally made its debut on Tuesday night, immediately following its normal time slot competition, King of the Hill.
