A Resistance
During the time that Japan was in charge of Korea as a colony, YU Gwan-sun was put in jail for starting the peaceful March 1 Movement, which was a protest for Korea's independence. Unfazed, YU gets her fellow prisoners together to fight against Japan. The head of Japanese security can tell that there is resistance, so he tricks an inmate into finding out that YU Gwan-sun is behind it, and then he tortures her. Later, Gwan-sun pretends to follow the Japanese while secretly planning another independence protest. This movement gets out of prison and into the streets, and YU is again cruelly tortured. Even though she dies two days before she is supposed to be set free, her spirit is more free than ever.
