Empire of Passion
A young man has sex with a woman who is older than he is. He is very angry at her husband and wants to kill him. They strangle the husband one night when he had enough sake to drink and was in bed. They dump his body down a well. She makes it look like her husband has gone to work in Tokyo. For three years, the wife and her lover see each other in secret. They do not tell anyone. Finally, suspicions grow very strong, and people start gossiping and gossiping about each other, too. To make things even worse, her husband's ghost starts to haunt her and the law comes to look into her husband's disappearance.
