Mistress
A comedy about a screenwriter (Wuhl) who has an old film script read by a producer (Landau) and the subsequent search for financial backing. However, it appears as though each financier (Aiello, DeNiro, and Wallach) has their own mistress in mind for the film. Gradually, the screenwriter is obliged to alter his work to please these funders, until there is little trace of his original ideas remaining in the writing.
