The Dreamlife of Angels
A friendship develops between two young ladies who are destitute and have limited opportunities in Lille. Isa moves in with Marie, who is now house sitting for a mother and kid who are both recovering from injuries sustained in a car accident and are both in comas. Isa is friendly and naive, and she has aspirations of relocating to a region with milder climates. Depending on her mood, Marie is either hostile or aloof. Then, at the same time as Isa starts paying the child in whose apartment they reside a visit and going to the hospital to read to her, Marie is slowly developing feelings for a wealthy young man. At first, Marie is successful in keeping him at away; later, however, she not only pursues him but also starts to dream that he is the love of her life. Isa's attempt to forewarn Marie causes a rift between her and Marie's friendship. How does Marie plan to deal with the unavoidable? Where will they go if they are evicted from the apartment?
