The Far Country
As a golden opportunity to create a lot of money in beef, Jeff Webster sees the start of Klondike gold rush Back in 1896. . .and woe betide anybody standing in his manner! He pushes a cattle herd from Wyoming to Seattle, by boat to Skagway, also (after a delay due to larcenous town boss Gannon) throughout the mountains to Dawson. There, he and his partner Ben Tatum get in the business that is gold themselves. Two lovely women fall for Jeff that is misanthropic, but he considers turning his back on growing lawlessness. . .until dwelling is finally struck by it.
