Sailor Johannes Blom returns to his home port, after 7 years mixed-up, to discover that Sally, the girl he has been thinking of while away, is completely sorrowful. 7 years earlier, obstreperous Alexander Blom, brings his mistress Sally to cope with him, his wife Alice, son Johannes, and also crew, aboard the salvage boat he captains. Amidst all the tensions on the little boat, Johannes as well as Sally fall for each other.
