Helm, a founding member of The Band, is located in an exceptionally personal documentary by Jacob Hatley at his house in Woodstock, in the midst of producing his first studio album in 25 years. He is the ultimate survivor since he has triumphed against drugs, bankruptcy, the acrimonious split of The Band, and a bout with throat cancer; nevertheless, as the wistful title suggests, he wasn't in it for his health.
