American Revolution 2
American Revolution 2 opens with images depicting political protests at the 1968 Democratic National Convention, as well as the Chicago Police Department and the National Guard's retaliation. The filmmakers accompany members of the Chicago Black Panther Party as they hunt for common ground with white activist groups. Panther Bobby Lee and the Young Patriots, white Appalachian activists in Chicago's Uptown, protest police brutality in one scene. The groups discover shared social and political goals that overcome racial differences: police violence, poverty, unemployment, and bad living circumstances. The movie's dream is a cross-racial, interethnic political movement.
