Antonio Gaudí
Antoni Gaud, a Catalan architect, made some of the world's most amazing buildings, interiors, and parks. Hiroshi Teshigahara, a Japanese film director, made some of the most beautiful films of the second half of the twentieth century. Here, both of their talents come together in a unique, captivating movie. Teshigahara's Antoni Gaud is more like a visual poem than a documentary. It takes viewers on a tour of Gaudy's truly spectacular architecture, including his massive still-unfinished masterpiece, the Sagrada Familia cathedral in Barcelona. This is not a documentary. With bold and sensual camerawork, Teshigahara makes Gaud last forever on film.
