Black Narcissus

A group of Anglican nuns, headed by Sister Clodagh, are sent to a mountain in the Himalayas. The climate in the region is hostile as well as the nuns are housed in an palace that is odd. They work to set up a school and a hospital, but slowly their attention shifts. Sister Ruth falls to get a government worker, Mr. Dean, also begins to question her vow of celibacy. Since Sister Ruth obsesses over Mr. Dean, Sister Clodagh becomes chilled in her own memories of love.
