Cézanne: Portraits of a Life
One of the most talked-about exhibitions of the year is proudly being presented by EXHIBITION ON SCREEN. Before moving on to London and Washington, the exhibition, which is devoted to Paul Cézanne's portraiture, debuts in Paris. Without comprehending the relevance and brilliance of Paul Cézanne, one cannot appreciate the art of the 20th century. The documentary takes viewers beyond the exhibition to the places Cézanne lived and worked and sheds light on an artist who, until now, may have been the least well-known of all the impressionists. It includes interviews with curators and experts from the National Portrait Gallery London, MoMA New York, National Gallery of Art Washington, and Musée d'Orsay Paris, as well as correspondence from the artist himself.
