Denmark

Herb's life has devolved into chaos. He's lost his welfare, is unable to find work, is unable to communicate with his son, has an obnoxious neighbor, and a diet consisting primarily of cheap beer and mushy peas. That is no way to live, and he is well aware of this. Then he discovers from a television news story that Danish prisoners have it a lot better than he does: a job, access to healthcare, the tranquillity of the countryside, and even an HDTV. They are effectively residing in motels. He bids farewell to his shabby accommodation and smuggles himself to Denmark onboard a cargo ship, landing in a lovely village equipped with everything he requires— including a bank to heist. However, after meeting a pleasant local barmaid and a beloved stray dog that refuses to leave his side, he begins to question whether prison is indeed his sole option for a successful life.
