Enigma

When the transport ship Genesis stopped working and floated around in space, it became an unsolvable mystery. All hands on board have been killed. What started as a simple transport mission for the crew of the Genesis ends with their deaths and the loss of an important military prisoner. People on Earth are going through a tough time. They are at war with the Cnidarians, an alien race that is much stronger than them. After a bloody attack on a military ship called the Vendetta, USSM special forces were able to capture their first Cnidarian prisoner, whose code name was 71099. But everyone in the fleet calls it Ediolon, the Phantom. Realizing that a military transport would be too easy for their enemy to find, the USSM asked Nathaniel J. Rhys, who was in charge of the freelance ship Genesis, to sneak the prisoner to the high security prison on Mars' moon Demos. The boat never came.
