Forgive-Don't Forget
At its core, Forgive-- Don't Forget is about the link between two very different societies as well as the value of remembrance. When Japan surrendered to the U. S. at the end of World War II, many Japanese swords were seized and reclaimed to the States. The Japanese Sword, while once an icon of wartime aggressiveness, is likewise deeply embedded in Japan's abundant background as well as spiritual heritage. In order to better recognize the past and construct a bridge between societies in the present, an American filmmaker efforts to return among these surrendered swords to its initial owner.
