Legiony
A timeless tale of maturing into one's place in the world and coming of age through challenging times. The significant events of history serve as the backdrop for the love story that is taking place in the foreground: Józek, a deserter from the tsarist army who joins the emerging Legions, an intelligence agent for the I Brigade and Women's Leage member-Ola, and Tadek, her fiancee and a member of Shooting Team. In addition to the fictional characters whose narratives were inspired by the real-life exploits of legionnaires, the movie also features a large number of historical personalities. Among them were Brigadier Jozef Pilsudski, Lieutenant Stanislaw Kaszubski, also known as pseud. "King," and a great number of other individuals. The film focuses on the Legion's combat trail from 1914 to1916, from the departure from Oleandry to the battle of Kosciuchnowka, and it shows the most dramatic cards of the legionary epic. One of the most spectacular scenes in the film is the famous attack of uhlans at Rokitna, which can be found in the film.
