Pelle the Conqueror

The 19th century's conclusion. A boat filled with emigrants concerns the island of Bornholm. Among them are Lasse along with his son Pelle who go on to find work. They find employment but are treated as the lowest type of life. Pelle starts to speak Danish however is harassed because of foreigner. However, none of them wants to offer up their dream of getting a better life .
