Shadow Game

Shadow Game is a visually experimental portrayal of the far-reaching effects of European asylum policy. Now that gates have been erected throughout Europe, it has become nearly hard to seek asylum. The adolescents traverse cold regions and encounter violent border patrol agents. It has gotten increasingly difficult for them to reach their final objective. Their journey traverses all of Europe, from Greece to North Macedonia, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, to Italy, France, and the Netherlands. The film was shot over the course of three years, in part by the principal protagonists using their own cell phones.
