When it comes to dog grooming in Hollywood, a lot of people want to be more than just a dog groomer. Michael Pinkney is a middle-aged man who is striving to maintain his lower-income lifestyle in the shadow of the movie business. His employment is degrading, his home is overrun with rats, and his mind is continually wandering into a low-fi dreamscape that matches his analog video experiments, all of which are depressing. When Michael meets Cora, the girl of his dreams, his monotonous routine takes a dangerous turn and he loses control.
