The Outsider

Michael Flaherty, an American with Irish roots who served in Vietnam and is played by Craig Wasson, goes back to Belfast to help his grandfather Seamus (Sterling Hayden). Soon, he finds out that he is not as welcome in his home country as he thought he would be. Even worse, he is the target of a plan to kill him by the IRA. This plan is meant to make the British forces look bad so that wealthy Americans will give them money.
