The Statement

The movie is set in France in the 1990s, that the French were conquered by the Germans early in World War II, an armistice has been signed in 1940 which efficiently divide France into a German occupied role in both North and also a semi-independent role in the south which became known as Vichy France. The Vichy government was a puppet regime. Section of this arrangement was that the Vichy Government would assist with the'cleansing' of Jews.
