The Sunset Limited

Primarily based on the play of the identical name by Pulitzer Prize Winner Cormac McCarthy, this searing drama that is two-character mixes pathos and comedy while examining the relationship between strangers who are attracted by circumstances that are dire. Set in a New York tenement flat, the story centers around two very different men - a profoundly religious black ex con who thwarts the suicide attempt of an asocial white faculty professor who tried to throw himself in front of the oncoming subway train,'The Sun Set Limited.' One other remains steadfast in his hard-earned grief, as the sole tries to attach to some spiritual, reasonable and emotional level. Locked at a philosophical debate, both passionately defend their private credos and try to convert one other.
