Vincent moves to Auvers-sur-Oise, near Paris, under Dr. Gachet's care, residing in a small inn. Vincent commits suicide 70 days later. See Vincent painting landscapes and portraits. Auvers' brother, wife, and baby visit. Vincent's playfulness and charisma attract Gachet's daughter Marguerite, a young inn maid, a Parisian prostitute, and Johanna. Vincent visits Paris just before his death, quarrels with Theo, disparages his own art and accomplishments, and is warm then chilly toward Marguerite.
