Nikkatsu has relaunched the Roman Porno label and resumed production of new works, resurrecting the label's role as a laboratory for playful experimentation with the goal of achieving new forms of cinematic expression. Hideo Nakata began his career at Nikkatsu as an assistant director and has worked on multiple on-location shootings for the Roman Porno soft-core series, but this is Nakata's debut Roman Porno title. With his reverence for his master, director Masaru Konuma, he faces a lesbian world taking over from the old title spirits. A connection exists between two women: Tokiko, a ceramic artist, and Haruka, her apprentice. The duo is not inherently lesbian, but they fell in love by accident.
