Aladdin
Aladdin is an animated television series made by Walt Disney Television which aired from 1994 to 1995, based on the first 1992 feature. It had been animated at the Offbeat Productions Studios in Penrose, Auckland, New Zealand. Coming on the heels of this movie The Return of Jafar, the series acquired where that installation left off, with Aladdin currently living in the palace, also participated to spunky and amazing Princess Jasmine. "Al" and Jasmine went together into peril among sorcerers, monsters, thieves, plus much more. Monkey side kick Abu, the animated Magic Carpet, and the shapeshifting Genie came along to help, as did whining parrot Iago, once Jafar's pet however today an antihero. Jafar, having been destroyed in the next picture, returns in one episode which functions as a cross over with Hercules: The Animated Series.
A number of the films' stars supplied the listeners of their TV counterparts, with the notable exception of Dan Castellaneta. Unlike the tiny Mermaid spin off series, this series doesn't feature any numbers.
The series aired concurrently on Saturday mornings and on the syndicated The Disney Afternoon block on CBS. Disney Channel re ran the show until it was replaced by their own line up. The show was later exhibited on Toon Disney, but has been removed.
