Amanda's

Amanda's is an American sitcom inspired by the 1970s British sitcom Fawlty Towers. Amanda's aired on Thursday nights at 8:30 to 26 May 1983 on ABC out of 10 February 1983. Bea Arthur surfaced Amanda Cartwright, as the main character. Amanda was the owner of a beachfront resort called"Amanda's by the ocean" whose staff included her son Marty, his spoiled wife Arlene, Earl the boxer and Aldo that the bell hop. This is Bea Arthur return to series tv since Maude ended in 1978. Other stars appearing on Amanda's included Leonard Stone, Jerry Stiller and Todd Susman. The series was filmed in ABC Studios in front of a live studio audience. Amanda's was cancelled after a run often episodes, three more episodes staying unaired from ABC in May 1983. A&E network broadcast reruns of the series shortly afterwards.
