Bodyline
The 1932/33 Test cricket series between England and Australia is dramatized. The series was played in Australia, and it became famous in Australian and international cricket history because the English team (captained by Douglas Jardine) used a bowling style known as "leg theory," or more generally, Bodyline. This strategy comprised bowlers bowling the ball directly towards the batsman's body, resulting in several bruises and injuries for the Australian side, including batsman Bert Oldfield's shattered skull. The series sparked widespread rage and contempt of the English squad in Australia, and it severely harmed Anglo-Australian cricketing ties at the time.
