Jack of All Trades

The syndicated action-comedy series Jack of All Trades lasted for two seasons in 2000. It comprised the Back2Back Action Hour with Cleopatra2525, the first American non-animated action series in the half-hour format since the 1970s. Midway through season2, the show was canceled. Set at the turn of the 19th century on the fictional French-controlled island of Pulau-Pulau in the East Indies. Jack Stiles is a Jefferson-sent secret operative. Emilia Rothschild, a British spy and his love interest, is there. The two stop Napoleon and other threats to the US. Jack is Emilia's attaché, but he's also The Daring Dragoon. The show contained many on-going gags, such as deliberate historical inaccuracies, Jack being responsible for many historical events but not receiving credit, Emilia inventing a miraculous invention in an obvious deus ex machina, sexual puns and innuendos, and Jack and Emilia's ongoing romantic tension.
