Klovn

Klovn is a Danish sitcom that premiered on Danish television channel TV2 Zulu. It centers on Frank and Casper, the two major characters. The comedy of the show is based on calm everyday occurrences, social awkwardness, awkward silences, and general faux pas. Klovn shares several elements with the American sitcom Curb Your Enthusiasm by Larry David, including the central concept of a semi-retired comic and his wife, friends, and famous acquaintances encountering amusing and uncomfortable circumstances. A first-time viewer may question whether or not the show is staged due to the show's pseudo-realistic presentation. Even the scores are comparable. In spite of this, the show's closing credits indicate that Casper Christensen and Frank Hvam originated the concept. The sitcom has 60 episodes over six seasons, with each episode lasting 25 minutes. The sixth and supposedly final season aired between 23 February and 27 April 2009. Klown, a film based on the series with an original plot, was released on December16, 2010.
