Peter Kay's Britain's Got the Pop Factor... and Possibly a New Celebrity Jesus Christ Soapstar Superstar Strictly on Ice
Britain Has the Pop Factor... and Maybe a New Celebrity, according to Peter Kay. Jesus Christ, the Son of God Peter Kay invented, wrote, directed, produced, and starred in Soapstar Superstar Strictly on Ice, a British television comedy show. On October 12, 2008, Channel 4 broadcasted the two-hour special in two parts. The show's title and overall format are a satire of talent-hunting reality shows. Britain's Got Talent, Pop Idol, The X Factor, celebrity adaptations of pre-existing shows, Jesus Christ Superstar, Soapstar Superstar, Strictly Come Dancing, and Dancing on Ice make up the show's title, which is an amalgamation of various talent-search reality series as well as a stage show. Britain's Got the Pop Factor is also the name of a fake series within the show, where Celebrity Jesus Christ Soapstar Superstar Strictly on Ice is the name of another hypothetical talent show to which the winner of Britain's Got the Pop Factor is automatically admitted. The show's "sequel," Celebrity Fiddler on the Roof, was announced after the end credits and will air next year. In the Jungle is a cross between the British reality show I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! and the musical Fiddler on the Roof.
